Research guide

Coverage is shown, not assumed.

The intended workflow is search → permitted case metadata in Legicus → open the provider's original source. A provider name in a menu does not mean live search is available.

Current release status: NO RELEASE. Live provider access and the release gates have not been verified. The table describes the implemented architecture and its known gaps, not a promise of available results.

How to interpret a result

  1. Choose a country and a provider. If runtime status is unavailable or not enabled, Legicus should not submit a provider search.
  2. When an approved provider responds, Legicus displays bounded metadata such as title, citation, court, date and source link. It does not store or reproduce the full judgment as a case-search result.
  3. Open the original provider record and verify its identity, current status, jurisdiction and relevance. If the original link fails validation, do not substitute a guessed URL.
  4. If authorized, select a reference for the correct Matter, add why it matters, then record a separate human review. A saved or accepted reference is not automatically authoritative.

Unavailable is not “no cases found”

A coverage gap means the adapter lacks a permitted search operation. An authorization error means the required access has not been approved. A rate limit or upstream failure means the provider could not complete that request. Zero results is meaningful only after an enabled provider actually completes a permitted query. Do not treat any of these as a legal conclusion.

For the human-review workflow, see the attorney guide. For definitions of “metadata,” “original source,” and “Matter,” see terms explained.
