Legicus documentation

Understand each step before you use it.

Guidance for clients and legal professionals using Legicus. Learn what a result means, what requires human review, and when a feature is unavailable.

Important: Legicus is not a court, a lawyer, or a source of legal advice. An AI suggestion or a saved case link is not a verified legal authority. Consult a qualified professional about decisions affecting your rights.

I am a client

Find an attorney, prepare a question, and understand consultations and document handling.

I am an attorney

Work within a Matter, review sources and suggestions, and record your own decisions.

I need case research

Understand five-country coverage, provider gaps, metadata and original-source links.

I need language help

See interface language choices and what translation does not guarantee.

How the process fits together

  1. Sign in with your own account. Your role and access determine which tools are available.
  2. Choose the right workspace or Matter. A Matter groups related documents, references, reviews and decisions when enabled for your organization.
  3. Check availability first. A feature may be restricted by role, country, provider permission or security configuration. An unavailable result is not an empty search result.
  4. Inspect the original material. For case research, open the provider's original record; for a document, check the actual uploaded version.
  5. Record a human review. Only an authorized professional should decide whether a source or AI suggestion is relevant, current and accurate.

Start with the glossary if words like “Matter,” “coverage gap,” or “Clause DNA” are unfamiliar. For access or technical issues, see safety and help.
